A quality assurance system called SICA (Integrated System for Academic Quality), developed under the ISO 9001 methodology, helped UPC to consolidate a culture of quality, comply with WSCUC standards and successfully adequate to changes in government regulations in Peru.
Institutions -- especially international institutions -- must adhere to a number of regulatory requirements. That commitment can be cumbersome and costly. What can be done, on a practical and operational level, to streamline processes oriented toward compliance and maximize the added value of self-study and institutional and program review processes that make us better from the inside out?
