Closing the Gap: Addressing Faculty Frustrations and Student Voice in Course Evaluations

The Student Assessment Scholars (SAS) Program at Biola University, comprised of undergraduate and graduate students, invites participants to be at the center of conversations on assessment. This presentation highlights one graduate student’s SAS project aimed at: 1) addressing faculty frustrations with ineffective, unhelpful and often abrasive student comments as it relates to their teaching, and 2) empowering students by coaching them on voicing constructive feedback aimed at improving their learning environment.
